My base in Hanoi was the Golden Palace Hotel, 46 P. Bát Sứ, Hàng Bồ, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội, Hanoi, Vietnam, which, I believe, has now closed.

The hotel was ideally located for exploring the old French Quarter of Hanoi. The hotel also had very friendly and helpful staff.
