UK — Remenham Church, Remenham Lane, Remenham, UK

Back in the UK for a few days

July 2015

I popped back to the UK for a few days to visit some friends, and in a nearby village, I was struck by the beauty of a local church.

Remenham Church, Remenham Lane, Remenham, Henley-on-Thames, UK, is a quintessential English village church with, oddly, no village. The village was wiped out by the bubonic plague (the Great Plague) in 1664, yet the church survived.

Remenham Church — The Church of St Nicholas — is in the Parish of Remenham. More details on the church can be found at ‘A Church near you', and a history of the church is available on the Remenham Parish website.

The church is also just a short walk from the River Thames.

Below are some photos showing the church:

The graveyard also has some particularly good angel headstones.
