Singapore — Siloso Beach, Sentosa, Singapore, by night

The beach at night

June 2015

I didn’t know what to make of Siloso Beach in Singapore.

It was an odd place.

They (whoever they are) had tried to construct the sort of “beach playground” for Singaporeans, and it didn’t quite work. There was something a little false and unreal about it. But, if you are in Singapore and you have time to kill (and you don’t mind paying the access cost), it is worth a visit to see the Singaporeans at play.

One final thing that is a little odd is that the beach is positioned so that it overlooks the main route into the harbour and some other industrial complexes in Singapore. Therefore, it doesn’t offer the best of views!

Some rules and regulations of Singapore never cease to amaze me. Can you not fly a kite on a beach?

Siloso Beach, Singapore, at night, was just like Siloso Beach, Singapore, during the day. A bit strange, a bit artificial, but OK.
