Singapore — Siloso Beach Resort, Sentosa, Singapore
Staying at Siloso Beach, Sentosa, Singapore
June 2015
I was not impressed with the Siloso Beach Resort, Sentosa, Singapore. It did have a good location as it is just back from the beach. But overall, it was not a great experience.
My room and bathroom were not the cleanest I have seen, and I would expect better in Singapore. The shower was terrible with no hot water, and the wall shower attachment didn't work — it sprayed water everywhere. There were also a significant number of ants in the room. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable.
The AirCon was also very noisy; it was too loud to sleep with it on. Plus, the bars on the beach could be heard, but as they all closed around 11 pm, this wasn’t a problem.
Breakfast consisted of Yellow Liptons tea (possibly the worst tea on the planet?), Grapefruit “Juice” that I suspected wouldn’t know it had come from a grapefruit, and a queue for cooked food that was so long I didn’t bother to wait.
One of the big selling points of the place was that it was supposed to be ‘green’. That is, it was environmentally friendly. I couldn’t see it. What made the place ‘green’? There was no apparent evidence.
There was no Wi-Fi in the room, but there was Wi-Fi in the reception area and around the pool. The rooms did have Internet by cable — I tried it, and it was very slow.

Siloso Beach Resort was hugely overpriced for what it offered. The place felt that it needed some investment and was being run down.
My advice is to avoid the place.
