Why didn’t I visit the Yangon International Museum?

On my last full day in Myanmar, I visited the Yangon (Rangoon) International Museum to soak up some local culture.

The entry fee for ‘foreigners’ was 5000 kyats, and I had to leave my bag, camera, and phone in a locker.

I didn’t bother going in because one thing I like to do in a museum is to take notes for blogging by taking photos of description boards, and as I couldn’t take my phone in to make notes, there was no point in going in.

Seemed like a rather odd policy to me.
